I aim to create paintings that stop viewers when they enter a room, paintings that engage, offer a story, invite interpretation, spark imagination. . .paintings which offer something new and different each time a viewer sees them. . .paintings that speak to the viewer and hopefully the viewer speaks back.

My paintings are sometimes of familiar places and things. But more often I paint from my imagination and memory, bending or reinventing reality in hopes of making it more interesting or mysterious.
